What is mechanical engineering for?

Mechanical engineering majors can be design engineers, equipment engineers and process engineers.

I. Design Engineer

Design of various mechanical equipment such as molds, automobiles, household appliances, construction machinery and non-standard equipment. Use commonly used mechanical design software.

Responsible for industrial design in the process of new product development and product improvement; Be able to collect industrial design information of industry market and put forward suggestions for product improvement; Participate in product research and development team, implement industrial design work according to product development plan: prepare corresponding technical documents, and make suggestions on application for design patents.

Second, the equipment engineer

Refers to technical personnel engaged in equipment management, equipment management system construction, equipment technical guidance, or equipment bidding, bid evaluation (equipment procurement), equipment inspection, organization of equipment maintenance, equipment factory direct sales and other aspects. Need to be familiar with the principle of the managed equipment and the knowledge related to the equipment.

The way out of equipment management can be transferred to design posts, or technical support or equipment sales.
