In the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 3 18), from the establishment of Jinxing County to the early establishment of New China, all counties were located in Nanning. 1after the liberation of Nanning on February 4th, 949, Nanning and its neighboring villages were set aside from Yongning County to form Nanning City, a municipality directly under the Central Government of Guangxi Province. In March 2005, some administrative divisions of Nanning City were adjusted, and Yongning entered a new development process.
