Nanning: Nanning, referred to as "Tan" for short, is the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the center of politics, economy, transportation, science, education, culture, health, finance and information in the whole region, the frontier city of China's open cooperation with ASEAN, the permanent venue of China-ASEAN Expo, the core city of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and the important gateway city of the national "Belt and Road" organic connection. Known as "China Greentown", Nanning has won the UN Habitat Award and won the title of "National Civilized City" for three consecutive years, and is a national ecological garden city. The annual Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad, making Nanning a "place where world folk songs become attached".
Nanning is located in the south of Guangxi, south of the subtropical zone and the Tropic of Cancer, at the junction of South China, Southwest China and China-ASEAN Economic Circle, facing Southeast Asia, with its back to the southwest, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in the east and Beibu Gulf in the south, at the junction of South China Economic Circle, Southwest Economic Circle and China-ASEAN Economic Circle, and at the intersection of Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation, Greater Mekong Subregion Cooperation and Pan-Pearl River Delta Cooperation.
Nanning now has jurisdiction over seven urban districts, namely Xingning, Jiangnan, Qingxiu, Xixiangtang, Yongning, Liangqing and Wuming, five counties, namely Hengxian, Binyang, Shanglin, Mashan and Long 'an, and three national development zones, namely Nanning High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone and Guangxi-ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone. In recent years, Nanning has thoroughly implemented the urban development strategy of "taking the Yongjiang River as the axis, building in the west and expanding in the east, improving the north of the Yangtze River, upgrading the south of the Yangtze River and focusing on the south", speeding up the development and construction of wuxiang new district, further opening up the urban framework, and comprehensively enhancing the radiation belt power of central cities.
Yongning: Yongning District is located in the south of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, southeast of Nanning, the capital. Now it has jurisdiction over 5 towns, 9 communities, 65 administrative villages and 402 natural villages, including Pumiao Town, Xinjiang Town, Baiji Town, Nalou Town and Zhonghe Township. The total area of the city is 1.255 square kilometers, and the population is 348,654.38+0.00, of which the agricultural population is 30,654.38+0.30, and the Zhuang population accounts for about the total population. The area of cultivated land in the jurisdiction is 45,600 hectares, including 65,438 hectares of paddy fields, 20,300 hectares of dry land and 42,500 hectares of forests, with a forest coverage rate of 34.5%.
A thousand-year-old county, a ten-year-old new district. Yongning has a long history. In the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 3 18), from the establishment of Jinxing County to the early establishment of New China, all counties were located in Nanning. 1after the liberation of Nanning on February 4th, 949, Nanning and its neighboring villages were set aside from Yongning County to form Nanning City, a municipality directly under the Central Government of Guangxi Province. In March 2005, some administrative divisions of Nanning City were adjusted, and Yongning entered a new development process.
