The secretary is the person who provides auxiliary management and comprehensive services for the leaders, and plays a unique role in the information publicity of the organs. How to provide leaders with true and comprehensive information and timely publicize and report the progress of the reform and development of the unit has become an important responsibility of secretaries. However, the current situation of some secretaries is worrying, which restricts their role. Below, the author talks about some superficial views on how to give full play to the unique role of secretaries in information propaganda based on the actual situation learned from visiting grassroots township streets.
First of all, the worrying situation
Although the secretarial staff have done a lot of painstaking work in writing manuscripts, managing documents, receiving visitors, organizing meetings, investigating and studying, processing information, providing consultation, handling affairs, contacting and coordinating, and urging investigations, they have neglected the role of information publicity. The main reasons are as follows: some secretaries think that it is the information age, so they write information manuscripts and confuse network information with internal information of institutions; Some secretarial staff think that the "official" is over age and can only wait for the opportunity to change to a good department and a good post; Some secretaries think that there is no way for them to be promoted, and they muddle along with the idea of "not seeking merit, but seeking nothing". Most of these people are not skilled in computer operation, unwilling to write articles (can't write), sloppy in work, and have no innovation in work. Although I have worked as a secretary for more than ten or twenty years, I can't write a standardized information briefing, and I can't collect, edit and publicize new people and things happening around me. Some vivid and touching examples have not been excavated in time, and the work achievements of the unit have not been displayed, which has led to the failure to exchange and promote the good experiences and practices of some units, which has affected the information propaganda and spiritual civilization construction of the unit to some extent.
Second, thought-provoking reasons
First, some secretarial staff are afraid of difficulties and are unwilling to study. Some secretarial staff have a general level of business and are unwilling to learn secretarial business while they are young. Instead, I think that I am ill-timed, overqualified, and my position is not "forward-looking", and it is useless to learn well. Therefore, they play computer at work, meet friends and drink in their spare time, or watch TV and chat at home. No one wants to calm down and study hard, which leads to the slow improvement of personal quality and affects development and progress.
Second, some secretaries are eager for quick success and instant benefit, and their work lacks enthusiasm. Some secretarial staff have been engaged in auxiliary work in the organs for a long time, and they have seen some younger comrades around them take up leadership positions one after another and enjoy corresponding treatment. However, they have been "small secretaries" for decades, with ordinary work, average pay and unbalanced psychology. They can hide in specific work, have no motivation to work, and forget their posts and responsibilities. Some secretaries lack self-knowledge, have no goals in their work, have no pursuit in their lives, and have neither long-term consideration nor short-term concern. They think that writing materials is something that unit leaders consider and has little to do with themselves. "Monks can't hit the sky", and their work initiative is not enough, which affects the civilized construction of the unit.
Third, some unit leaders ignored the information propaganda work. Some unit leaders unilaterally emphasize the particularity of the unit's work, think that the unit's achievements should be "low-key publicity", fail to summarize the achievements in everyone's work in time, and even think that writing articles to praise is empty shelf, which leads to the low visibility of the unit and affects everyone's enthusiasm. Some unit leaders like to say hello and send things, preferring to spend a lot of money to treat guests and give gifts and engage in image projects, and they don't pay attention to the construction of information workers around them, turning a blind eye to information propaganda work and thinking it is dispensable; Praise those who engage in economic construction in a big way, do not praise those who have contributed to information propaganda, and do not reward those who have won the award. Even the information work reward system formulated by the unit at the beginning of the year is not honored, which makes secretarial staff feel that their efforts are thankless and it is a "hard job" to engage in information publicity.
Third, measures to motivate people to work hard
Secretarial work is an important part of the work of the whole organ. Secretarial staff are willing to be the ladder, work hard and contribute silently, which is an important force for the development of the unit. Working in the front line, secretaries can come into contact with many real and touching cases at the grassroots level, which provides valuable resources for doing a good job in information publicity. This paper puts forward some countermeasures on how to give full play to the unique role of secretaries in information disclosure:
(A) to strengthen personnel training, improve the ability and quality.
Vocational training is an effective way to improve the ability, basic quality and innovation ability of secretaries. In contemporary society, with the rapid development of politics, economy, culture and science and technology, the means of secretarial work are scientific and automatic, which greatly improves the efficiency of secretarial staff and puts forward higher requirements for secretarial work. Organs and units at all levels can take the following measures to effectively improve the quality of secretarial staff: first, pre-job training is given to new secretarial staff every year to teach them the basic requirements and essentials of information writing, so that they can initially master the knowledge of information writing; Second, entrust RTVU and amateur colleges and universities to hold short-term training courses on information writing skills for secretarial staff, improve the socialized vocational skills training system, and cultivate practical secretarial talents; Third, the writing skills of secretaries should be honed through training rather than meetings. Through various forms of education and training, secretarial staff's information writing ability, oral expression ability, processing ability, adaptability, psychological adjustment ability and insight ability will be greatly improved, and they can complete various tasks assigned by leaders more effectively.
(2) study hard and practice excellent skills.
Learning is a means to acquire knowledge, and it is also the need of people's survival and development in today's society. Over the years, the author has insisted on self-learning various business books, such as A Complete Book of Office Knowledge, Confidential Work, Information and Writing, Journalist Literacy and Skills, etc., and regards learning as a responsibility and a pursuit. In case of emergencies such as emergency rescue and disaster relief, you should be both a combatant and an information officer, and use practical actions to prove the importance of your post and play a role. Although there are more part-time jobs, the income will not increase; However, the author insisted on playing a "pioneer" role in the information propaganda work of his army, and won the third-class merit twice and awarded more than 20 times. The author's experience is: on the one hand, we should take pains to record and sort out new ideas in our study, and sometimes we can refer to the conception skills and writing methods of award-winning excellent works, and learn, think and practice while absorbing and digesting what we have learned. On the other hand, we should learn from teachers and colleagues around us and pay attention to the "three comparisons" of manuscripts: the comparison between the first draft of information and the final draft, the comparison between the draft submitted and the revised draft by the leaders, and the comparison between the manuscript sent out and the manuscript published in the newspaper. Only in this way can we clear our minds, write our thoughts and write our depth.
(C) organizational care, eclectic use
"Secretarial Work" published the article "Five Axes" to improve the quality of information workers at the grass-roots level. It holds that first, we should pay attention to "selection", second, we should pay attention to "hanging", third, we should train regularly, fourth, we should visit frequently, and fifth, we should mention it in time. I feel the same way about it. The growth experience of many secretaries tells us that the cultivation of organizations is the ladder for the progress of secretaries. Organizations can care for secretaries from three aspects: first, they should create all kinds of open selection and promotion opportunities for active secretaries, so that outstanding talents can stand out; Second, we should encourage middle-aged secretaries who are in their prime of life and have both ability and political integrity to feel at ease, love their posts and become successful, and boldly promote and reuse those who have outstanding performance; Third, for the old secretaries who have been engaged in secretarial work for a long time but are over-aged in the open selection examination and promoted to be unemployed in local areas, training can be organized according to their working years and practical ability, so that they can participate in the evaluation of professional titles in corresponding industries, and preferential policies can be given to the old secretaries who have made outstanding contributions in the evaluation of professional titles. Don't let those "old scalpers" who are loyal to the party and have worked silently in the secretarial front all their lives suffer!
Of course, secretaries should also keep a correct attitude, be open-minded and optimistic, keep their passion for work and improve their service quality. Passion is the premise of completing all the work well. As the saying goes: "Great ideals generate vigorous energy, and vigorous energy realizes great ideals." To do this, the most important thing is to love your post. Secretarial work is hard, but it can test, hone and cultivate people. Imagine how a person who doesn't even love his job can respect what he is doing and make a difference. Only by putting your seat straight, thinking more and writing more can you live up to the duties of a secretary!
