Taiping Temple Tower, located in Qishan County, Baoji City, was named after it was built in Taiping Temple. Taiping Temple has long been abandoned, and the original site is now a primary school building. Taiping Temple Tower was built in Yuan You, Song Zhezong for three years (1088). Although it has been repaired many times in the past dynasties, its original appearance has not changed. Taiping Temple Tower is made of brick, with a pavilion-style octagonal nine floors and a height of 28 meters (more than 30 meters). From the second floor, fake windows and railings are hidden on each floor. There are five shops under the eaves, which make a double of the bucket arch. There are flat seats under the tower on the second floor, and there are only fake flat seats on the upper floors. There are two more bucket arches under the flat seat than under the eaves. Due to the dense arches of the whole tower, it is particularly beautiful and dignified. Although the tower has been repaired many times, its original appearance has not changed.
The Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan in 2008 affected many ancient pagodas in Shaanxi, among which the Taiping Temple Tower was slightly inclined and cracked. Later, Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau strengthened and maintained the tower foundation, tower body, eaves and roof of Taiping Temple Tower, and added bluestone railings.
On May 25th, 2006, Taiping Temple Tower in Qishan, Baoji was listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
