What's the use of being a layman?

To become a lay man, you need to go to a temple and accept three conversions. After the ceremony of three conversions, he became a formal Buddhist disciple, also known as a layman.

Conversion means return and belonging. Three conversions, that is, when you belong to Buddhism, you need to abide by three constraints. Every temple can convert people who want to convert, and the conversion ceremony is usually on the first and fifteenth day of the lunar calendar.

Go on the same day, and you can go home after the transfer. You don't have to go to the temple to live in advance, just fill out the form and queue up at the temple before the conversion to the Dharma Association begins. Take your ID photo with you. You can call the local 1 14 to ask the number of the temple you want to convert to and ask the specifications of the photo required by the temple.

It should be noted that conversion here does not mean who to convert to, nor which master or temple to convert to, but that you convert to the whole Buddhism and become a Buddhist disciple yourself. After conversion, you will get a dharma name, such as Yin Su and Miaoming, which will appear on your conversion certificate together with your photo.
