1959 after graduating from high school, Chen Lixing worked as a substitute teacher. 1962, Chen Lixing organized a China chess wheel war in Wenzhou Dingziqiao Primary School, and selected good young people to teach them to play chess. Wang Jiaquan, a national master and head coach of Zhejiang team, became a disciple of Chen Lixing at that time.
1962 in the second half of the year, Chen Lixing was transferred to private Yuejin Primary School in Wenzhou at that time and became the first class teacher of the school. Chen Lixing felt that strict education could only achieve temporary results, so he came up with an idea to organize the most naughty children into a football team and the relatively quiet children into a chess team. He teaches football and chess in his class. The effect of this method is really good. The children have made progress in their studies. The football team won the second place in the city competition for three consecutive years, and the chess team has also produced many good seeds. This is also the first time in the history of the development of chess in China to introduce chess into classroom teaching.
After the "Cultural Revolution", Chen Lixing vigorously promoted chess in Wenzhou Children's Palace and Guangchang Road Primary School, and grew up a number of excellent players such as Ye Rongguang.
From 65438 to 0995, with the efforts of all parties, Wenzhou won the title of "Chess City". Later, Chen Lixing brought the "single spark" of chess to Ryan, Yueqing and other places. He was also invited to give chess education lectures for children in Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
It is the only way to improve and test the level of chess to carry out chess education and let players participate in various competitions. Organizing all kinds of children's competitions in the whole city and nationwide is another "battlefield" where Chen Li devoted his life to chess.
The first official competition organized by Chen Lixing should be the first "Red Xiao Bing Triathlon" held in Wenzhou Children's Palace in 1974. It was at that time that Ye Rongguang stood out.
In the 2008 Zhejiang Children's Sports Conference and the "Xinqiao Preschool Cup" chess competition held in Wenzhou, Chen Lixing was still over 70 years old and served as the deputy secretary-general and referee of the conference.
Chen Lixing once participated in the influential "National Hope Cup Children's Chess Competition" and "Children's Chess Cup National Traditional Primary School Chess Competition". These two competitions originated from the people and had a far-reaching impact on young players in the country, so he was named "chess social activist" by the chess world.
