Shanghai New Passenger Station, located in Jing 'an District, China, adjacent to Shanghai Long-distance Passenger Station, is a special station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and an important part of Shanghai Railway Hub. Rail transit:
The rail transit platform of Shanghai Railway Station is located on the ground floor of South Square and North Square of Shanghai Railway Station in Jing 'an District, Shanghai, and is the platform of 1, Line 3 and Line 4. Among them, the 1 line station hall is located in the south square, and there is a quick entrance to the 1 line station hall at the southeast exit of Shanghai Station. Passengers can directly buy subway tickets to enter the station after passing through the railway exit gate without security check again.

Architectural design:
As of May 20 10, the square of Shanghai Railway Station covers an area of 97,000 square meters, and the main building of the station adopts "elevated waiting", with two squares, namely, north-south entrance and south-north entrance. The South Square is about 67,000 square meters, and the areas for pedestrians, vehicles and parking lots are 2 1 100 square meters, 20,250 square meters and 25,650 square meters respectively. The North Square is 30,000 square meters, and the areas of pedestrians, vehicles and parking lots are 1 10,000 square meters, 7,200 square meters and 1.28 million square meters respectively.
The first four radial branches of South Square are connected with Tianmu West Road and Hengfeng Road, forming three plots around the square and arranging some large buildings. The square is basically symmetrically arranged and consists of a central square and two auxiliary squares on the left and right. Pass through the currency pedestrian zone in the east and west exit halls, extend forward and embrace the crab-like central parking lot. The green island arranged in the middle is opposite to the gate of the main building of the station and becomes the center of the whole square.
The central parking lot mainly stops group and unit buses, and the east and west wings of the square are combined with two luggage rooms, and taxis, trucks carrying luggage and non-motor vehicle parking lots are arranged respectively. In the east is the luggage room for consignment, and in the west is the luggage room for pickup. The terminals of the six bus lines are symmetrically distributed in front of the east and west exit halls.
The center lines of CoCo Lee Road and Chang 'an Road in front of the central square intersect at the center of the station entrance. In the mezzanine area, on the entrance axis of Zhi Zhi Station Building, at the intersection of Tianmu West Road and Hengfeng Road, a pedestrian walkway with a certain width is planned, so that the main building of the station building can be seen from three different directions.
