Hefei Bus Terminal is located diagonally opposite to Zhanqian Road Railway Station in Hefei New Station District. Hefei Bus Terminal is one of the key construction projects of the original 45 highway hub cities in China. It is a joint-stock enterprise jointly funded by Anhui Communications Investment Group, Hefei Communications Construction Group and Hefei New Town State-owned Operation Company.
In 2002, Comrade Huang Huimin, the current general manager of Hefu Bus Terminal Corporation, was responsible for the preparation of the bus terminal, which was built according to the standards of the first-class bus terminal of the Ministry of Communications. The whole station covers an area of 54 mu, with a building area of 120000, a parking area of 190000 and a square in front of the station of 36000.
There are nearly 80,000 waiting halls on the upper and lower floors, with a designed daily passenger flow of 20,000 people, 28 standard parking spaces, reserved parking spaces 10 and daily shuttle buses 1500. The station was completed in 2004 1 February, and opened in 2005126th.
At present, there are 420 inbound buses, mainly in Fuyang, Bozhou, Huainan and Wuwei counties, supplemented by appropriate inter-provincial bus lines. The station is equipped with the province's first-class vehicle safety technology detection system, microcomputer ticketing system and ticket checking and class reporting system. The terminal has been in operation for three years and has safely transported more than 6.7 million passengers.
