Beads are portable instruments used by Buddhists to recite scriptures and count, which are widely used in monks and nuns. Formerly known as "rosary", it originated from the name of the three treasures of Buddhist monks and was used to eliminate disasters and report obstacles. Usually it can be divided into three types: holding beads, threading beads and hanging beads.
The number of beads represents different meanings. There are countless materials of beads, and the beads made of "Qibao" are the most noble. Bodhi is the most widely known kind of Buddha beads. Beads are the most convenient tool to spread Buddhism. When using beads, don't pay too much attention to their structure, quantity and material.
