The main responsibilities of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology are as follows:

1. Put forward new industrialization development strategies and policies, coordinate and solve major problems in the process of new industrialization, formulate and organize the implementation of development plans for industry, communication industry and informatization, promote strategic adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, promote the integration of informatization and industrialization, and promote the construction of military-civilian combined weapons and equipment research and production system;

2. Formulate and organize the implementation of industrial planning, plans and industrial policies in the industrial and communication industries, put forward policy suggestions for optimizing industrial layout and structure, draft relevant laws and regulations, formulate rules and regulations, formulate industrial technical specifications and standards and organize their implementation, and guide the quality management of the industry;

3.
