Yushi was praised as "New Chinese Style Animation" by domestic media. It was directed by Blue Sky Ke Fan and produced by L-KEY Studio, a subsidiary of Qi Long Digital Art Company, and lasted for three years. The film adopts unprecedented new production methods such as live shooting, remote music creation and network dubbing. This is the first independent animated film in China.
