Changshu Institute of Technology is introduced as follows:
Changshu Institute of Technology, located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, is a full-time undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province, and the first batch of pilot colleges organized by the Ministry of Education for a new round of undergraduate teaching qualification assessment.
Pilot universities of "National Education System Reform", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of Ministry of Education", pilot universities of information construction of Ministry of Education, and "National New Engineering Research and Practice Project" were selected as the first batch of pilot universities in Jiangsu Province.
The school's predecessor was Suzhou Normal University, founded in 1958 and Changshu Vocational College in 1984. The two universities merged into Changshu College on 1989. 200 1 Jiangsu population school was merged. On May 2, 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, Changshu Institute of Technology was established on the basis of Changshu College. 20 17 School became the provincial master's program construction unit in Jiangsu Province.

1in June, 958, Suzhou prefectural party Committee held a meeting to prepare for the establishment of regional colleges and universities, and decided to build a number of new colleges and universities in Suzhou, including the new Suzhou Normal University. On August 18, Jiangsu Provincial People's Committee made it clear that Suzhou Normal University was founded by Jiangsu Xinsu Normal School and led by Suzhou authorities.
1970 June 10, the political working group of Suzhou Revolutionary Committee explicitly used the school-running equipment of the former Changshu Normal School to set up the May 7th Teacher Training Course in Suzhou Special Zone. In early August, the May 7th Teacher Training Course in Suzhou Special Zone was held in Zengyuan and Zhaoyuan of Changshu.
