According to the Technical Specification for the Construction of Educational Resources (Draft for Comment), the common information resources at present mainly include nine categories, namely: media materials (including words, graphics/images, audio, video and animation), examination questions, papers, courseware and online courseware, cases, documents, frequently asked questions, resource catalogue index and online courses. In addition, other types of resources can be added according to actual needs, such as e-books, tool software, cognitive tools, movies, etc. (cited from Yu Shengquan and others, 2005). Of course, classification is not necessarily based on this standard. We can distinguish all kinds of information-based teaching resources from different angles and horizons, as long as they are reasonable.
(1) Media material: Media material is the basic material unit for disseminating teaching information, which can be divided into five categories: text material, graphic/image material, audio material, video material and animation material.
(2) Item bank: Item bank is a collection of certain subject topics realized in computer system according to certain educational measurement theory, and it is an educational measurement tool based on mathematical model.
(3) Test paper: The test paper is a typical test set of all kinds of exams, and the test paper here is a digital test paper.
(4) Courseware and network courseware: Courseware and network courseware are educational and teaching software, which can teach one or several knowledge points relatively completely. According to the operating platform, it can be divided into network courseware and stand-alone courseware. Network courseware needs to be able to run in a standard browser and be appreciated by everyone through the network teaching environment. Courseware running on a single computer can be downloaded through the network and run on a local computer.
(5) Case: A case refers to a representative event or phenomenon with practical guiding significance and teaching significance through various media elements, and the case here is also a digital case.
(6) Documentation: Documentation refers to policies, regulations, rules, records of major events, important articles and books related to education. These are all digital data.
(7) FAQ: FAQ is to give a comprehensive answer to the most common questions in a specific field.
(8) Resource Directory Index: lists the related network resource address links and indexes of non-network resources in a certain field.

It consists of two parts: the teaching content organized according to certain teaching objectives and teaching strategies and the supporting environment for online teaching.
The new curriculum currently being implemented in China needs rich teaching resources to support it. The reform of curriculum structure and content has expanded the demand for information-based teaching resources and provided it with greater application space. Without suitable information-based teaching resources, it is difficult to fully tap the advanced technical potential of information technology, which will inevitably affect people's understanding of the role of information technology, thus hindering the formation of modern teaching concepts, affecting the reform of teaching methods, and the popularization of information technology and distance education will lose its significance.
