Yancheng Station was founded in1996; In June, 2003, 5438+ 10 was put into operation, with only freight business at the beginning; On July 1 2005, the through passenger train was opened; In March 2006, the reconstruction and expansion project of Yancheng Station officially started; On April 18, 2007, the rebuilt and expanded Yancheng Station was officially put into use.
The architectural design of Yancheng Station adopts the design concept of "Sailing on the seaside and colorful in Yancheng", and the modeling elements are extracted from Yancheng's distinctive "seawater spar", which deduces the charm of "gathering brilliance and crystallization, being skillful and clumsy" in Yancheng culture, implying that Yancheng in the new era will sail with the momentum of braving the wind and waves and usher in a new round of development opportunities.
The main entrance of the station adopts pure glass curtain wall, and the facade adopts perforated aluminum plate. The overall lines outline the atmospheric image of Yancheng Square, and the silvery white surface reflects the clear water beach and sky clouds along the Tongyu River, which complements the hub planning of "Water Green Yancheng" and integrates natural characteristics and polycrystalline regional culture.
