Practice notes:
In one-finger Zen massage, the practitioner uses the tip, surface or tip of the thumb to concentrate on a specific acupoint or part. By mastering the accurate pointing position and strength, as well as reasonable body posture and amplitude control, more accurate and effective thrust can be generated.
The elements of one-finger Zen massage;
1. Thick bead
Keep the shoulders relaxed and sinking, and avoid the tension and rigidity of the shoulders, so as to provide stable support and power transmission.
Hanging elbow
Elbows droop naturally, keeping soft and smooth movements, avoiding excessive exertion and muscle tension.
Hang the wrist
Keep your wrist soft, not too hard or stiff, so as to flexibly adjust the position and angle of your fingertips.
Precautions for massage:
1. Seek professionals.
Massage should be carried out by professionally trained qualified masseurs or Chinese medicine practitioners. They have the corresponding knowledge and skills and can provide appropriate massage treatment according to their personal health.
2. Diet and water
Avoid eating a lot before receiving massage, so as not to affect digestion and discomfort. Maintaining adequate water intake after massage helps to eliminate waste and promote physical recovery.
3. Avoid receiving massage in some cases.
In some cases, massage may not be suitable or require careful operation. For example, early pregnancy, fracture or serious trauma, infectious skin diseases, etc. Avoid massage or consulting a doctor.
Listen to body signals
When receiving massage, you should listen to your body's reactions and signals. If you have severe pain, discomfort or other abnormal feelings, you should immediately notify the masseur to stop the treatment.
Gently exert force
The intensity of massage should be moderate, and massage and pressing should not be too hard. Excessive massage may lead to injury or discomfort, especially in sensitive areas or under certain circumstances.
Stay comfortable
During the massage, keep a comfortable and relaxed posture. If you feel any discomfort or stress, you can remind the masseur to make adjustments or ask for reduction.
