Requirements for prescribing narcotic drugs by senior professional doctors in Wuhan

According to the Prescription Management Measures, doctors should follow the following principles when prescribing narcotic drugs:

1. Unless there is a user manual for patients, doctors should provide written guidance or consultation to patients, their families or caregivers so that they can understand the application basis.

2. When prescribing narcotic drugs, doctors should use special prescriptions. Prescription writing should be complete and clear, indicating the patient's name, gender, age, ID number, medical record number, disease diagnosis, drug name, specification, quantity, usage and dosage, and doctor's signature.

3, narcotic drugs prescription should be numbered separately, each prescription is limited to one patient.

Doctors are not allowed to prescribe narcotic drugs for themselves.

5. The prescription is valid on the same day and should be indicated in the upper right corner of the prescription.

6. Doctors must prescribe narcotic drugs in accordance with the guiding principles for clinical application of narcotic drugs formulated by the Ministry of Health.
