What is the ECON system of a car?

ECO is the abbreviation of Ecology, Conservation and Optimization. It is a brand-new energy-saving configuration, and some cars are also called ECON.

The working principle of ECO mode is mainly to analyze the configuration that can affect the fuel consumption through various sensors, such as the gear of the gearbox, the engine speed, the braking system and the oil temperature of the gearbox, and then the ECU calculates the optimal fuel quantity to provide the engine with work, so that the fuel consumption is effectively reduced compared with the ordinary driving mode. To put it bluntly, it is to control the engine speed with a reasonable gear to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption.

When ECO is turned on, the vehicle will make adjustments, the throttle opening corresponding to the same accelerator pedal depth will be smaller, and the gearbox will be upshifted earlier.

To put it simply, this purpose is to control the engine speed through reasonable gears and reduce unnecessary fuel consumption. Passive ECO has no special button to remind you to save fuel. When the best fuel supply is reached, the green word ECO will be displayed on the dashboard. If you step on the gas pedal hard and accelerate sharply, or encounter an uphill road, the word ECO will disappear.
