Xi 'an Railway Station, formerly known as Chang 'an Railway Station, was completed in February 1934 and 1935. It belongs to Xi Railway Bureau and is now a special station directly under it. Xi station is one of the railway hubs in western China, and it is also the national railway passenger dedicated line station. Xi Railway Hub is one of the eight major railway hubs in China, and it is the transportation hub connecting northwest and southwest in China road network. Xi Station is one of the only three stations in China (Zhengzhou Station and Wuchang Station) that can directly reach provincial capitals and important prefecture-level cities in Chinese mainland.
Building structure
The modeling of the owner's building of Xi 'an Railway Station is in harmony with the planned ancient city style and surrounding scenery, which is a major feature of the new Xi 'an Railway Station. The facade design is rectangular and symmetrical, imitating the architecture of the Tang Dynasty. The roof of the porch and the corridor in front of the station has the architectural characteristics of the Tang Dynasty.

There are two escalators and a wide walking staircase in the middle of the lobby of Xi Railway Station, which is connected with the second floor. There are four large general waiting rooms in the building, each of which can accommodate 1400 passengers at the same time.
