1644, the Ming dynasty perished, the Qing army entered the customs and moved its capital to Beijing. After a long war, it established its rule over the whole country. By the time of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong, agricultural production had been fully restored and further developed, with economic prosperity, social stability and national strength at its peak. After Qianlong, internal and external contradictions intensified and anti-Qing uprisings occurred frequently.
