In general, children should be prevented from receiving drug intervention treatment as much as possible. When patients have debilitating depression symptoms, serious delusions, compulsion or confusion, special drug treatment can be given. Parents should be aware that drug therapy is only aimed at special accompanying symptoms, not at the psychological treatment of the disease itself.
