The 6th People's Republic of China (PRC) Games was hosted by the State Sports Commission and held in Guangzhou from1October 20th to February 5th. 1987 165438. This sports meeting is held under the new situation of China's reform, opening up and invigorating. The number and scale of its competitions mostly exceed those of previous National Games.
Basic information
Emblem: The emblem symbolizes the torch with a striking "6", and the runway vividly expresses the rhyme of "sheep". The "6" of the flame transformation means the Sixth National Games; Taking the word "sheep" as the runway means that the National Games will be held in Guangzhou (Yangcheng).
Mascot:
The mascot "Yang Yang" is the first mascot of the National Games. As 1987 Guangzhou, the venue of the 6th National Games, is known as the "Yangcheng", the organizing committee decided to use goats as mascots.
This innocent and lovely cartoon lamb, smiling, holding the torch in his right hand and wearing a red vest with the emblem of the Sixth National Games, ran forward. As soon as it came out, it was loved by everyone and widely praised by the society, and it became a big "fashion" in society at that time. Yang Yang is also the first official mascot in the sports history of China.
