Luojiashan, located in the southeast of Putuo Island, is an "asteroid" of Putuo Mountain. Seen from the east coast of the island, Luojia Mountain looks like a giant Buddha lying on the sea and has the reputation of "sleeping Buddha on the sea". To go to Luojia Mountain, you must take a boat from putuo island. There are not many tourists on the island, and Buddhist temples and lighthouses should not be missed.
There are Tong Yuan Buddhist Temple (Yuantong Temple), Great Compassion Hall, Dajue Hall, THE TEMPLE OF JIALAN Hall, Five Hundred Arhats Pagoda and Forty-eight Wishes Pagoda. You can go and have a look. Longquan ancient well, Xianqiao and Crystal Palace are full of ancient meanings. The most noteworthy thing is the lighthouse on the northeast mountain, which is the legendary "lorca Lantern". In ancient times, this lighthouse was just a skylight to guide ships to sail at night. The ancients once praised it as "shining a little in the maze and catching the sun and the moon." Now, the skylight has been transformed into an international lighthouse in Luojia Mountain, guiding the direction for ships coming and going. However, tourists can't visit inside, so they can only look at the stone tablet of "Luojia Lingshan" from a distance.
Mount Putuo, together with Mount Wutai in Shanxi, Mount Emei in Sichuan and Mount Jiuhua in Anhui, is also known as the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and it is the Dojo where Guanyin Bodhisattva educates all beings. Mount Putuo is one of Zhoushan Islands 1390 islands. It looks like a black dragon lying in the sea, with an area of nearly 1.3 square kilometers. Across the sea from shenjiamen in Zhoushan Archipelago, it is known as the "Buddha Country at Sea" and "Holy Land of the South China Sea". It is the first batch of national key scenic spots.
