Introduce a new management model of metabolic diseases;
The Standardized Metabolic Management Center (MMC), initiated by an expert in endocrinology and metabolism and Academician Ning Guang of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Branch of Chinese Medical Association, promotes the standardized and one-stop solution of diabetes management with the concept of "one center, one station service and one standard".
After more than two years of construction, more than 700 hospitals across the country have joined the ranks of MMC and established MMC centers, of which 343 officially accepted patients, covering 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and managed 220,000 patients.
Development background:
Diabetic patients often have complications such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, nephropathy, neuropathy, retinopathy, etc., so they need to register for many times and make diagnosis and treatment between different departments, which increases the burden on both doctors and patients. MMC hopes to make diabetes treatment more convenient and efficient through high standardization.
Metabolic diseases represented by diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, nonalcoholic fatty liver and hyperuricemia have not only become common and frequently-occurring diseases at present, but also seriously affect health, with the highest mortality and disability rate. Especially in recent years, it is still a blowout situation and has become a public problem. Active prevention and control and standardized management are the strategies to solve the problem.
In order to strengthen the construction of medical science and technology innovation system, build a number of clinical medical research bases for metabolic diseases, and accelerate the development of disease prevention and treatment technology with a brand-new operation mode, the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Metabolic Diseases have piloted the construction of a number of "National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Centers" nationwide since 20 16.
Development details:
It is reported that this innovative model was initiated by Academician Ning Guang, a diabetes expert, and managed by the National Metabolic Disease Clinical Medical Center. Its core idea is to create a new model of diabetes diagnosis and treatment with "one center, one station service, one standard", and ultimately reduce the prevalence rate and various complications of diabetes in China.
