1, Longcheng-Liuzhou
During the period of Datong in Nanliang, it was reported for the first time that "eight dragons are seen in the river" in Ma Ping County in the south, which is now Liuzhou City. As a result, the Zhoushui of Liujiang was renamed Longjiang, and Longcheng County was built on the shore, which is now Liuzhou County.
During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (about 634 AD), the site of Ma Ping was moved to the center of Liuzhou Hebei Peninsula and built on the Liujiang River, hence the name "Liuzhou". From then on, Liuzhou was called "Longcheng County", and Liu Zongyuan's poems also called Liuzhou "Longcheng County", and Liuzhou became the solidification of history.
In Song Huizong, the name "Dragon City" of Liuzhou County became a custom, and it was called "Dragon City County of Liuzhou" in Song Dynasty.
2. Longcheng-Puyang
1987, a 6,400-year-old dragon-shaped mussel sculpture was unearthed in Puyang, which caused a sensation in the archaeological circles at home and abroad. The dragon-shaped pattern of mussel sculpture is called "the first Panlong in China". Accordingly, China Yanhuang Culture Research Association named Puyang "loong Township".
Since then, although similar plastic dragons have been unearthed in other places, some scholars in Henan Province believe that although dragons with earlier age and larger size have been unearthed in other areas, their artistic modeling and cultural connotation are not as good as Puyang Dragon, which is called Dragon City.
3. Longcheng-Changzhou
Changzhou is called "Dragon City" for three reasons:
The first view is that it is related to the shape of Changzhou city wall, saying that Changzhou "has a dragon shape, so it is called Longcheng"; The second view is that the name of "Dragon City" comes from a myth circulating in Changzhou. The third argument is that there are many emperors in Changzhou. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, there were 15 Qi Liang emperors in Changzhou. The ancient dragon was the symbol of the emperor. It is said that there were many emperors in ancient Changzhou, so Changzhou was called "Dragon City".
4. Longcheng-Taiyuan
Taiyuan, which once condensed the spirit of the king and made the land of Longxing where the emperor was the master, is well-deserved as the Dragon City, because it has created one real dragon emperor after another.
Taiyuan and Longcheng were built by the emperor. Together with the emperor, the emperor was also tired and suffered repeated defeats. ?
The Northern Qi Dynasty in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the powerful Tang Dynasty, the later Tang Dynasty, the later Jin Dynasty, the later Han Dynasty and the northern Han Dynasty in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period either originated in Taiyuan, or the capital was here, or Taiyuan was originally the capital, and there were many emperors in Taiyuan, so it was called "Dragon City".
