Where is suitable for raising crucian carp? What are the breeding conditions?

Crucian carp is native to rivers, lakes and ponds except Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China. With the continuous development of aquaculture, China is producing all the year round. Famous producing areas, such as Jiangsu, Hubei, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Yunnan and other places.

Breeding conditions:

1. Breeding preparation

Choose a suitable breeding pond. It is best to drain the pond water in the leeward and sunny place where the drainage is convenient. After a few days of exposure, disinfect with quicklime and drain the water. Select the variety to be cultivated. After years of artificial breeding, crucian carp has cultivated many new varieties. It is suggested to choose high-backed crucian carp whose growth speed is 2-3 times that of other varieties. To choose high-quality feed, the content of protein should be above 30%.

2. Seedling release

When releasing seedlings, the water temperature should be kept above 10℃, and too low water temperature will affect the survival rate of seedlings. In order to facilitate breeding and marketing, seedlings should emerge all at once, rather than in batches, which is not conducive to breeding. Disinfect the seedlings before releasing them to reduce the occurrence of common diseases. Generally, there are about 2000 plants per mu. If it is too dense, it is not conducive to growth. It can also be cultivated with other fish, and the cultivation effect is obvious.

3. Water quality management

Crucian carp is rich in calcium and phosphorus, which is 2-3 times that of other fish. Therefore, in aquaculture, it is necessary to ensure the content of calcium and phosphorus in water to meet its growth needs. Lime solution and calcium phosphate are applied about once every half month. Other trace elements are essential, and organic fertilizer should be applied according to the change of water quality. If necessary, duckweed or Chlorella can be planted in the pond. Pay attention to the change of water quality at high temperature. Once the water quality is too poor, it should be replaced in time.

4. Feeding management

Crucian carp is an omnivorous fish, which feeds on plants. Choose to meet the preferences of crucian carp. When you feed, you should feed it several times, 6-8 times a day. Don't feed too much every time. When the temperature is low in spring, the feed intake of crucian carp decreases, which can reduce the feeding times. When the temperature is high in summer, the feed intake of crucian carp increases and it is in a rapid growth period. Need to increase the amount and frequency of feeding.
