Physical consultation for the elderly (about diabetes)

Diagnostic criteria of diabetes:

The normal fasting blood glucose range is 3. 15 ~ 6. 19 mmol/L, and the blood glucose is less than 7.8mmol/L 2 hours after meals. When the fasting blood glucose is ≥7.0mmol/L, the blood glucose is ≥1.12 hours after meals. If the fasting blood glucose is between 6. 1 mmol/L and 7.0 mmol/L, it is called impaired fasting blood glucose. If the fasting blood glucose is normal and the postprandial blood glucose is 7.8 mmol/L ~1.1mmol/L, it is called impaired glucose tolerance. Impaired fasting blood glucose and impaired glucose tolerance can be regarded as transitional stages from normal to diabetes, but they can be reversed to normal if treated properly. If it is not treated properly, it will develop into diabetes.

The normal concentration of human blood glucose is: fasting venous blood glucose is 3.9 ~ 6.0 mmol/L, and postprandial venous blood glucose is less than 7.8 mmol/L. ..

Normal blood lipid:

1, total cholesterol (TC):200ml/dl or about 3-5.2mmol/l.

2. Triglyceride (TG): lower than 150mg/dl or about1.7mmol/l.

3. Low density lipoprotein (LDL-C): 1.20 mg/dl or less than 3.1.2 mmol/L.

4. High density lipoprotein (HDL-C):40mg/dl or more 1.04mmol/L, too low.

It's diabetes. It's a little serious. If the fasting blood sugar exceeds 8.0, there will be complications. It needs medication.
