In order to promote exports, some countries and regions have set up special institutions to study and formulate export strategies. For example, 1960, the United States set up the "National Committee for Expanding Exports" to provide suggestions and information to the President and the Secretary of Commerce of the United States on improving various measures to encourage exports; 1979 in may, the United States established an export Committee directly led by the president. 1954, the Japanese government established a high-level comprehensive coordination agency-"Supreme Export Conference", which was responsible for formulating export policies and comprehensively coordinating among provinces to achieve export targets. Since 1965, South Korea has established the system of "meeting on export expansion and revitalization", which is held once a month to study the issue of export expansion.
Establish specialized market research institutions.
Establishing business information network to serve export enterprises
In order to develop export trade, information on international market trends is particularly important. To this end, many countries have set up official or mixed business intelligence agencies and set up business intelligence networks overseas to provide domestic export enterprises with business information in the international market. Such activities are generally funded by the state, with little or no charge, accurate information and rapid transmission. For example, the export information service established in the UK is provided by 220 overseas commercial organizations in the UK, and then analyzed and processed by computer, which is divided into 500 kinds of commodities and 200 kinds of regional or national market information materials for domestic export enterprises' reference. Another example is Japan's foreign trade organization (formerly known as "Overseas Market Research Association" established by 195 1), which is funded by the Japanese government to conduct overseas market research and provide information services for enterprises. Switzerland and Hong Kong stipulate that 5% of exports from customs revenue should be used for market research and business intelligence.
Establish trade centers, organize trade exhibitions and trade delegations.
Setting up trade centers and organizing trade exhibitions are important ways to publicize domestic products and expand exports. The Trade Center is a permanent facility that can provide exhibition venues, office space and consulting services. Trade exhibitions are mobile exhibitions, some of which focus on attracting foreign businessmen in China, some send delegations abroad to publicize and display products, and some western countries can organize more than 20 foreign exhibitions a year. The government usually helps such exhibitions in many ways. For example, when German enterprises go abroad to participate in exhibitions, the government generally pays the freight, venue fees and utilities of the exhibits. In recent years, China has paid more attention to the promotion measures in this respect, and various trade exhibitions and fairs led by the Canton Fair have made great contributions to promoting China's export trade. In order to develop or balance foreign trade, some countries often organize trade delegations to visit. Such delegations buy and sell goods abroad.
Give spiritual encouragement to exporters.
After World War II, it became more and more popular for countries to give spiritual rewards to exporters. They often organize incentive activities for exporters, award medals and certificates to exporters with outstanding export achievements, and publicize their experience in expanding exports through incentive activities. For example, the Japanese government has designated June 28th as the Trade Remembrance Day. On this day every year, the Minister of International Trade and Industry issues certificates to manufacturers with outstanding export performance. In addition, the Prime Minister personally writes a thank-you letter to commend manufacturers with outstanding export performance.
