Enterprise History of Gu Jing Winery

Gu Jing Group, one of the eight famous liquor enterprises in China, is the parent company of Anhui Gu Jing Distillery Co., Ltd., the first liquor listed company in China to issue A and B shares at the same time. It is located in Bozhou City, Anhui Province, the hometown of historical celebrities Cao Cao and Hua Tuo. The company, formerly known as Gongxing Cao Fang, originated in the tenth year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 15 15), and was transformed into Gu Jing Winery in Yingbo County of this province in 1959. With more than 8,000 employees, the company is a large-scale first-class enterprise in China, integrating wine industry, hotel industry, real estate industry and deep processing of agricultural products.

Gu Jing Distillery in Bozhou City was founded in 1958, and was named Jiandian Distillery at that time. It was a collective-owned enterprise. Later, on 1959, it was reorganized into a state-owned enterprise, directly under the leadership of Bo County, and changed to Gu Jing Winery in Bo County, Anhui Province. 1986 was changed to Bozhou Gu Jing Winery, and 1993 was used to carry out the joint-stock standardization pilot. 1March, 1996, with the approval of the people's government of Anhui province, Gu Jing Winery Co., Ltd. of Anhui Province was established. On March 28th of the same year, 60 million foreign shares (B shares) were issued, and the company was approved to be established in May of the same year.

Since 1980s, the company has developed rapidly. /kloc-0 was rated as a national second-class enterprise in 1998, approved as a national large-scale second-class enterprise in 1992, and promoted to a national large-scale first-class enterprise in 1993. 1989 ranked 498th among the top 500 industrial enterprises in China, and rose to155th in 1994.
