2. Preparation before installation
software requirement
Server: Microsoft Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/2003/Linux.
Client: Microsoft Windows 9x/ME/2000 Professional Edition /XP Professional Edition.
Network protocol support
NMS Vientiane 2004 supports IPX protocol, TCP/IP protocol and UDP protocol.
Note: If you need this software to use IPX network protocol, please ensure that the system has installed IPX protocol correctly before installing this software, otherwise your machine may not be able to start and use.
Software release
This software is divided into ACCESS, InterBase, SQL and MYSQL(Linux) according to the database structure, among which the SQL database version supports peer-to-peer multi-charging.
hardware requirement
Recommended server configuration: Celeron 1G (or Intel or AMD CPU with equivalent performance)/256m physical memory/100M remaining hard disk space/100M Ethernet card.
Client recommended configuration: Celeron 600 (or Intel or AMD CPU with equivalent performance)/64m physical memory/10M remaining hard disk space/10M Ethernet card.
The client may not work properly on a diskless terminal (not a diskless workstation).
3. Start the installation
When the above software or hardware requirements are met, the server and client of Vientiane Network Management 2004 can be installed.
If you downloaded it from the homepage, please directly execute the Autorun.exe in the installation package. If you buy our CD-ROM, Autorun.exe will automatically execute it when the CD-ROM is inserted into the CD-ROM drive.
Now, you can click the appropriate option to start the installation step.
3. 1 Install the main toll terminal
Click the option of "Install the main toll terminal" in the installation wizard window.
Button description: "Next"; For "previous step"; It means "leave"
You must read and fully accept the license agreement before continuing the installation.
Click "Next" to enter the window of selecting installation directory.
You can define the installation directory of Vientiane Network Management 2004 server by yourself, or you can use the default installation directory "c:\wx2004". Under the selected installation directory, you can select the components to be installed, click the check box in the radio box to indicate installation, and check it to not install.
Click Next to start installing the copied files.
After the installation is completed, the installer automatically adds the "Jisheng Technology" menu and shortcut items to the program menu, and generates a "Vientiane Network Management 2004 Server" shortcut on the desktop.
The Installation Complete dialog box will appear.
Now that the server is properly installed on the computer, you can click the "Leave" button to close the installer. After the installer closes, the server main program will be automatically executed.
3.2 Installation of Sub-charging Points
The installation process and button function of the auxiliary charging point are the same as those of the main charging point.
3.3 Install for Win9x/ME Client (Universal Interface Version)
Click the "Install 98 Client" option in the installation wizard window.
The Client Installer window appears.
Click Next to enter the License Agreement window.
You must read and fully accept the license agreement before continuing the installation.
You can choose the installation directory to install the program in other directories, or you can use the default directory "c:\octopus". Under the selection of installation directory, you can select the components to be installed, click the check box to indicate installation, and check it to not install.
After the file is copied, the installation success interface appears, and the installation is complete.
Now, the Win9x/ME client is properly installed on the computer. You can click the "Leave" button to close the installer. After the installation program is closed, it will be automatically executed.
3.4 installing for Win2K/XP client
Click the "Install 2K/XP Client" option in the installation wizard window.
You must read and fully accept the license agreement before continuing the installation.
After selecting the network protocol, click "Start Installation" to start copying program files. After the installation is completed, you will be prompted to complete the installation.
Now that the 2K/XP client is properly installed on the computer, you must restart the computer to use it.
Note: The file clt2kClc in the installation package is a classic version of the 2K/XP client. Please pay attention to selecting the user profile when installing.
4. Upgrade from the old version
The upgrade of the server is relatively simple. Using the database import tool ImpDB.exe (note: the upgrade tool only copies the member data into the new database), the old database can be converted into a special database for Vientiane Network Management 2004.
Client upgrade must uninstall and delete all old versions, and then reinstall and environment settings.
5. Upgrade (convert) the old version of the database.
Click "Database Conversion" in the installation wizard window to open the data conversion interface. At present, this tool can support the upgrading (conversion) of various databases to Vientiane 2004 database.
You can choose to convert the database of Vientiane Miao Guanjia and previous versions, and you can convert the database of Billing King 2.x, part of the database of pubwin's real name version, and the beta data of Vientiane 2004BETA to the official database of Vientiane 2004.
Let's take the data conversion of "Wanxiangmiao Butler" as an example to illustrate, and choose Wanxiangmiao Butler as shown in the figure.
By clicking the "-"button or manually selecting the input path, select the paths of the two projects "Database to be converted" and "Vientiane 2004 Database".
Make sure everything is correct, that is, you can click the "Start Conversion" button to start the conversion work.
Before the official start, start the conversion after confirmation.
During the conversion process, the number of members being converted will be prompted, and the progress bar will show the conversion progress.
Prompt the "Conversion Complete" dialog box, and the member data conversion is completed.
Now you can start using Vientiane Network Management 2004.
Note: the conversion tool only converts the format of the member database, and will not process other data; If you are converting Vientiane Network Management Professional Edition 10. 1, please select "Popular Edition", otherwise the database may not be converted; If you used the beta version of Vientiane Network Management before, please convert it to the official version before using it.
Supplement: Description of Vientiane Network Management 2004 Database
The ACCESS database of Vientiane NMS 2004 contains four files with mdb suffix, namely:
1.2004mem.mdb: member information;
2.2004Rec.mdb: computer records and historical records;
3.2004Stck.mdb: commodity information;
4. Sales materials of 4.esales.mdb point card
The first three databases contain the operator and password of the software.
