Like a green ribbon, the Shuhe River flows quietly around Shucheng, bringing infinite vitality and vigor to my hometown.
Spring in Shuhe River is a picture full of hope. When the earth opens its sleepy eyes, you see clusters of peach blossoms, apricot blossoms and pear blossoms on the river bank, red, pink and white, attracting a large group of bees to buzz. "Blowing your face is not cold", the river rippled gently with the breeze, shining with silver light under the sunshine. Fish, the messenger of Shuhe River, swims freely in the water, spitting bubbles at tourists from time to time.
Summer in Shuhe River is a happy song. In the evening, by the Ming city wall of Xiangyang Bridge, old people sat on antique stone benches and shook their banana fans, telling the glorious history of Shuhe merchants. On the cool and breezy boulevard, the family walked along the riverbank, heard the chirp and saw the dark green in their eyes, and the fatigue of the day vanished.
Autumn in Shuhe River is the harvest season. Many branches hung from the fruit trees on the shore. Naughty children hit them with stones, climbed up the tree to pick them, shook them hard and changed their ways, just to pick some fruits and taste them. Inadvertently, the mighty phoenix tree fell a golden leaf, like a homesick stamp, on people's shoulders.
Winter in Shuhe River is a romantic time. After a heavy snow, branches and dams were covered with snow, and only undercurrents surged under the frozen river. The children had a good time making a snowman and having a snowball fight.
Although I don't often go back to my hometown now, I still often think of the beautiful Shuhe River. May her water be clear forever and her trees be evergreen forever!
