Shaoxing Museum is located in Yuewangcheng historical and cultural protection zone on the west side of Shaoxing ancient city, with a base area of 34,200 square meters, an area of about 1.54 million square meters and a construction area of 9,533 square meters, of which the exhibition hall has a practical area of 3,720 square meters, and the main exhibition hall is divided into two floors.
The architectural scheme was designed by Master Tang Yu 'en and adopted the courtyard layout of Shaoxing traditional architecture. The exhibition area, cultural relics warehouse area, office area, cinema and lecture hall are separated by the inner garden.
Characteristics of Shaoxing Museum
The main exhibition hall of Shaoxing Museum 1800 square meters consists of two floors, which are divided into two parts: basic exhibition and temporary exhibition. Stepping into the exhibition hall of the museum, there are three huge antique bronze mirrors. It is not only a dazzling symbol of the ancient Yue culture, but also a realism that shows future generations to learn from history.
The basic exhibition "Shaoxing Historical and Cultural Relics Exhibition" is divided into six parts according to the historical changes of Shaoxing: ancient Shaoxing, Yue State, Huiji County, Yue State, Shaoxing House and modern Shaoxing.
From more than 300 precious cultural relics selected from100000, as well as the display of charts, models, photos and sculptures, this paper systematically introduces the historical deduction of Shaoxing from the Neolithic Age to the Revolution of 1911, vividly reappearing Shaoxing's 5,000-year-old history and splendid culture.
