Where did the land of Confucius and Mencius come from?

Jining has a long history and is "the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, the state of etiquette". Fu, Xuanyuan Huangdi, Emperor, and other ancestors of the Chinese nation were born here. In the history of China, "Five Sages" were born here, including Confucius, Mencius, Yan Zi, Ceng Zi and Zi Si. Jining is one of the most concentrated places in China, with 7 national key cultural relics protection units. The number and value of Han steles in Jining are rare in other parts of the country, so there is a saying that "Han steles in the world are half Jining". Jining also owns Qufu and Zoucheng, two famous historical and cultural cities in China. Qufu, located in the north of Jining City, has a large number of "heavyweight" cultural relics, such as the world cultural heritage "Three Holes" (Confucius Temple, Confucius House and Konglin), the ancient city of Lu, the ancient city of Ming, the temple of Emperor Yan, the temple and the tomb of Shao Hao.

Weishan Lake, one of the top ten freshwater lakes in China, is also located in Jining, the location of the Water Margin story and the hometown of the Anti-Japanese Flying Tigers.
