Expand knowledge:
Environmental problem is a complex system problem. In addition to strengthening the management of various policies, it is also necessary to cultivate professional talents and popularize professional knowledge. In order to achieve this goal, all major universities have set up related environmental majors. Environmental specialty belongs to the category of chemical engineering specialty. In most people's minds, the employment prospects of chemical engineering major are not very good.
In fact, energy, information and materials are the three pillars of our human life development, and energy is the basis of materials and information. Therefore, at present, the prospect of talents trained by majors like chemistry and chemical engineering is still very broad. Environmental specialty will have a far-reaching development with its own changes and the deepening of our research and exploration.
Environmental protection in China started late, and the proportion of technical force and professionals is far lower than that in western developed countries. This will seriously hinder China's integration with the international community and affect China's international competitiveness. With the increasingly severe environmental protection situation in China and China's entry into WTO, environmental professionals have become one of the most scarce talents in China.
In particular, environmental protection engineers and technicians are far from meeting the actual needs. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Personnel, among the eight kinds of talents urgently needed in China in the next few years, environmental protection technical talents are among them.
The Outline of Zhejiang Sustainable Development Plan clearly points out that sustainable development is inseparable from environmental protection. To achieve sustainable development, we must protect the environment on which human beings depend for survival and development, incorporate environmental issues into development plans and policies, completely change the traditional economic development model that consumes a lot of resources and operates extensively, reduce pollutant emissions, strengthen pollution control and continuously improve environmental quality.
Actively promote the enterprise, industrialization and marketization of pollution control. In order to meet the needs of economic development and reform and opening up in China and our province, a large number of professionals specializing in environmental protection and governance in rural areas, towns and enterprises are urgently needed. They should not only have the basic theoretical knowledge and excellent professional skills necessary for the major of environmental protection and governance, but also have higher cultural literacy and faster adaptability.
All these have opened up broad prospects for the development of environmental protection and governance, and the cultivation and use of talents. According to the statistics of environmental professionals, 40% have entered institutions to engage in environmental protection, monitoring and management. Nearly 60% of the staff work in related enterprises, of which nearly 50% are engaged in technology and development in production companies, and only a few work in consulting service enterprises.
There are also differences in wages and salaries. Generally speaking, the salary of technical research work is higher than that of other ordinary workers. In large-scale production enterprises, wages are slightly higher than those in public institutions. Generally, the monthly salary of unskilled workers is around 1000 yuan or 2,000 yuan, the monthly salary of technicians in public institutions is around 4,000 yuan, and the monthly salary of technical researchers in enterprises can reach around 6,000 yuan. ?
