1982 graduated from the foreign languages department of Nanjing University, majoring in English, and stayed in school to teach English.
1985 was selected by the school to study at Lancaster University in England.
1986 received a master's degree in language studies. After returning to China, he continued to teach college English at Nanjing University. He has served as director of teaching and research section, teaching secretary of the Ministry, deputy director of the Ministry and director of the Ministry;
1Feb. 992, awarded the title of associate professor. In September of the same year, he was recognized as a young and middle-aged academic leader by the school and enjoyed special government allowance.
1996 was awarded the title of professor, and then was sent by the school to study at Columbia University.
200 1 Received a doctorate from Columbia University.
Since 2002, he has been the director of the Foreign Languages Department of the University.
He is also the Secretary-General of the Steering Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the Vice-President of Jiangsu Foreign Language Teaching Research Association, the Vice-President of Computer-Aided Foreign Language Teaching Professional Committee of China English Teaching Research Association, the Vice-President of Asian English Teachers Association and the Standing Committee of the 13th Nanjing Municipal Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference.
