The growth cycle of eyelashes is divided into three stages: from growth period (that is, active period) to regression period and then to rest period. Because the optic papilla contains nerves and blood supply to provide nutrition for eyelashes, and the protuberance contains cells that can regenerate the whole hair follicle, it is the focus of treatment.
