Take care of students' emotional needs
As a class teacher, you should understand the reasons for students' puppy love. Children often have a strong interest in feelings during adolescence. Therefore, we should face students with an understanding and caring attitude, listen to their thoughts and emotions, and give them support and guidance.
Provide education and information
The head teacher can take puppy love as an educational opportunity to convey the possible risks and negative effects of puppy love to students through class meetings or individual conversations, such as decreased academic performance, difficulty in concentration, mood swings and so on. At the same time, provide sex education and interpersonal knowledge to help them better understand and deal with emotional problems.
Cooperate with parents
The problem of puppy love involves family education, and the class teacher should keep close contact with the parents of the students. Through parent-teacher conferences, home visits and other forms, discuss with parents how to help students establish a healthy emotional outlook and correct values.
Set rules and boundaries
The head teacher can work out some rules and boundaries with the students. For example, it is forbidden to talk about personal feelings in class and to send love letters in school to help students better balance their study and life.
Seek professional help
If the class teacher finds that puppy love has seriously affected students' academic or mental health, it is suggested to seek the help of school psychological counselors or professional institutions. They can provide more professional advice and support to help students solve problems.
