Mr. "koi fish"

This is the second time we have met Dr. Wang. The first time we met was at the Spring Festival group meeting of the Expo Promotion Association.

Dr. Wang's gestures are all intellectual and elegant-exquisite makeup, fitted suit and signature warm smile all suit her. If you ask what a 50-year-old professional woman should look like, I think it should be like this.

In Dr. Wang's view, he is a very lucky man:

At the age of twenty, I sublimated the revolutionary friendship with the "male god" of my girlhood, and I still love each other until now;

When I was 30 years old, I wanted a pair of children. God gave me a pair of twins, which formed the word "good".

At the age of forty, I found a field that I really liked and was willing to give everything for, and opened up a world in it.

……

We laughed and called her "the human koi fish in the doctor circle", and Dr. Wang did not deny it. He just said, "If you don't forget it, there will be repercussions."

Think about life regularly.

Dr. Wang's career has experienced many twists and turns-

1984 After graduating from the Radio Department of South China University of Technology, he successfully entered the Bank of China and became a computer engineer.

1987, after rethinking his life, he resolutely chose to go to Australia to study for a master's degree in law, and obtained an Australian green card because of his excellent professional quality;

1995, completed the MBA, was hired by Monash Mt Eliza Business School as the chief representative of China, and then transferred to the training and development industry;

In 2009, I first came into contact with Genos EI. In the same year, I founded LPA China and introduced Genos EI course to China.

To sum up in the words of netizens, that is: a science and engineering woman who is not proficient in law is not a good emotional intelligence tutor.

We can't help asking her, since we know that every stage has a good career development, why do we have to make such a big change?

Dr. Wang gave us an example:

When she was a student, there was a popular saying, "Learn mathematics and physics well, and you are not afraid to travel all over the world." In the eyes of her parents, studying science is the real university, so she chose the most popular radio major in South China University of Technology without any suspense.

But while working as a computer engineer, she found that she needed to work harder than others to ensure that she would not fall behind.

This is the first time that Dr. Wang has decided to change the direction of development. "If this major requires you to try your best to keep pace with others, then you need to check whether your talent is really here." Dr. Wang said,

"In our time, many things were beyond my own decision. I didn't know my talent from the beginning, so I was crossing the river by feeling the stones. I have tried it with the most challenging and outstanding people in the industry. I have tried it again and again. "

Arrange life with "discipline"

1996, Dr. Wang's training career has just started. In the same year, a pair of twins came.

"These two children have witnessed the development of my training career." Speaking of children, Dr. Wang seems to have light in his eyes.

We can't help asking her how to balance family and career.

Dr. Wang mentioned a word called "discipline".

"The so-called discipline is to arrange family time and working time reasonably-at that time, I compressed my working time to a single month, and then flew to Australia every two months to accompany my family, and I couldn't take jobs that conflicted with family time." Dr. Wang explained.

In other words, for Dr. Wang, balancing family and career actually means that both sides have to make concessions, and "discipline" is the key for her to maintain this balance.

Speaking of family and children, Dr. Wang told us that although Jonathan's brother and Rachel's sister are only three minutes away, their personalities are diametrically opposed. My brother is naturally introverted and happy-go-lucky, while my sister has leadership skills and is strict with herself. If we grade brother and sister according to our consistent concept of "grades are everything", my sister will undoubtedly get 100, while my brother can only wander on the passing line.

Dr. Wang is also very anxious about this difference between children-why can't my brother be as good as my sister at the same starting point?

"Until now, this idea will still linger in my mind, but it must be realized that there is no difference between the two children's personalities, because this difference in personality is the children's own choice, and it is not so" excellent brother can naturally show his talents in other places. " Dr. Wang said.

Send a message to the younger generation

Confusion is the state of most young people today. In this regard, Dr. Wang told us:

"Now is the peak of the development of human history, and there are many opportunities to choose, so today's children have the conditions and opportunities to pursue their ideals.

So when you feel tangled and confused, calm down and ask yourself: What do I want to do most? What interests me most? What am I most willing to do? What is particularly meaningful to me?

You also need to know yourself like an onion, from the outside to the mainland-what is your external performance, your education, life experience, your personality, your strengths and weaknesses, your values, your beliefs and talents, and so on.

Once you have a clear understanding of yourself and know what you want, then work hard, stick to your beliefs and break through difficulties! There will be difficulties. As long as you stick to it and break through it, it means you can take a step forward. "

Written in the back: In 2009, I got to know Dr. Ben Palmer through the introduction of my tutor, so I contacted Genos EI (referred to as "EQ course") and began to introduce Genos EI to China, so that millions of people could improve their EQ and change their career destiny.

20 19 Dr. Wang Yu established the EQ Development Center (EIDC) on the basis of LPA China to design, develop and implement various highly customized EQ and leadership training programs. We provide internal training services for middle and senior managers of many large multinational companies and fast-growing private enterprises, and provide international lecturer certification courses for emotional intelligence, courses for emotional intelligence practitioners and mindfulness leadership courses for individuals in the workplace.
