Taihu Stone: One of the four famous traditional stones in China. Produced at the junction of Taihu Lake Basin, also known as Dongting Stone. There are two kinds of Taihu rocks: flood and drought. "Dry Taihu Lake" is produced in the mountains around the lake. It is dry but not moist, with rough edges and corners, and has a unique softness. "Water Taihu Lake" is produced in water. Due to the long-term influence of waves, it has a long history and many caves, which are extremely exquisite and rare. ?
Shi Ying: It originated in Yingde, Guangdong, so it is also called Yingde Stone. The stone is hard and wet, grayish blue with wrinkled edges. The words "thin, wrinkled, leaking and penetrating" succinctly describe the timely characteristics. ?
Axe splitting stone: sedimentary rock. There are light gray, dark gray, black and khaki colors. Produced in Changzhou, Jiangsu. The filiform, strip and flake texture with vertical lines, also known as sword stone, is tall and strong in appearance, but easy to weather and peel off. Can be manually processed, exquisite and elegant. Jinchuan stone: it looks like pine bark, such as bamboo shoots, commonly known as stalagmite. Light gray-green, earth-red, with eye-shaped depressions, produced in Zhejiang, Jiangxi Changshan and Yushan areas. The longer the shape, the better it looks. It is often weathered on three sides, and there are traces of artificial knives and axes on the back. ?
Melaleuca stone: iron gray with light gray, with various natural changes, produced in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. Usually rockeries can be designed as waterfalls or dry mountains, and the height of courtyard rockeries can reach more than 5 meters, ranging from 1 meter, depending on the space environment. Rockery can be set on one side of the lawn, next to the water flow, the big one can walk, and the small one can be set in the pool, which is located in the main sight of the courtyard for people to enjoy and increase the mood and elegance of life. ?
2. Construction of rockery:?
(1) The designer communicates with the owner, surveys the site, determines the stone and height of the rockery according to the characteristics, orientation and space size of the courtyard environment, draws the plan and elevation of the rockery, and draws the effect map of the rockery when conditions permit, which is convenient for construction. ?
(2) Construction personnel should study the drawings carefully and do a good job in the foundation of rockery. Generally, the foundation is made of concrete and steel umbilicus, and then the stones are piled up layer by layer from bottom to top, and the stones are piled on the stones. In the process of stacking, the quality, color, grain, surface, body and posture should be coordinated with each other, and plant planting grooves should be reserved. Waterfall water should reserve nozzles and pipes, and use ash after stacking. ?
(3) There are traditional methods of stacking stones, such as "stacking, standing, padding, crossing, picking, pressing, hooking, hanging, supporting, spelling and breaking the air", which stack stone peaks, caves, stone walls, valleys, gullies and powder treads. (4) Rock is lifeless. Because of its natural texture, shape and color, it is unpretentious, so some living plants are planted on the rockery to give them life and vitality. Common planting plants are Podocarpus, Pinus pentaphylla, Nandina domestica, Boxwood, Bromus, Rhododendron and so on.
