Wu's career.

First contact extrusion

Wu He's fate began with an accidental opportunity. On June 5438+ 10, 2003, accompanied by his father, Wu entered the newly established Hubei Bubo Squash Club. Because Wu's father was in poor health and he liked squash very much, Wu joined the club with the sole purpose of playing ball with his father. Inadvertently, it was this first intimate contact that doomed an unusual story to be born between them.

Wu soon showed his talent in squash. In the words of Tian Jiang, her first coach, in the five years since he started teaching students, he has never seen such a talented player as Wu. With his own talent, hard work the day after tomorrow, and the guidance of coach Wu, he soon became a leader in this emerging project.

The first thing that appears is fierceness.

Wu stood out among the female players just after two months of contact with squash. At the end of 2003, she easily won the women's championship in the first year-end competition organized by Bubo Squash Club. In the following year, her level continued to improve, and slowly she began to compete with male players, and her performance was quite good. At the end of 2004, the annual competition of Bubo Squash Club will be held again. At the strong request of the club's golfers, Wu participated in the men's competition. In fact, although Wu had the strength to compete with the male players at that time, she didn't want to join the men's team considering that she might not win the championship. In order to lure Wu to participate in the competition, the organizers of the competition proposed an incentive model of giving the first prize when participating in the competition and giving two first prizes when winning the championship, so that Wu joined the men's team. This time, the champion returned to her name.

(of an unknown person) achieved amazing results at the first attempt.

In 2005, after Wu graduated from university, she became a member of Bubo Squash Club because she worked in Bubo Squash Club for some time. Squash is no longer a hobby for her, but a support for her to settle down. However, even in this case, Wu never thought that he could reunite the dream of athletes.

The change of fate often comes inadvertently. At the beginning of 2006, through the repeated efforts of Bubo Squash Club, they obtained the qualification to represent Hubei Province in the squash competition of the 3rd China Games. In this delegation composed entirely of members of Bubo Squash Club, Wu is the absolute number one player. In the competition, Wu made a blockbuster. She beat Hong Shen, China's No.1 in the first round, and then beat the powerful Macau No.1 girl to advance to the final. Although she lost to former badminton player Tang Chunjue in the final, her good sense of the ball and suitable age still made her a treasure in the eyes of the national team coach.

The runner-up completely changed Wu's fate. Although there have been some twists and turns in her sports career because of the big environment, the first girl in China squash has been standing at the forefront of the development of squash in China since then. In June 5438+February 2006, Wu and former teammate Li Na participated in the Asian Games. The experience of reaching the same goal by different routes made their meeting quite dramatic. After the Asian Games, the temporary national squash team was dissolved, and Wu temporarily returned to her normal life. The following year, she wandered in Wuhan and Kunming.

Join the national team

In 2008, with the east wind of the Beijing Olympic Games, non-Olympic events also gained rare development opportunities in China. This year, the General Administration of Sports strengthened its investment in squash, and the national squash team was reorganized and became a permanent institution. After mixing with pumpkins for several years, Wu finally found a port where he could dock. As the number one female squash player in China, she naturally shoulders the heavy responsibility of winning glory for her country.

This year, Wu became a professional player registered by the Chinese Squash Association with the International Squash Association, ranking 176 in the world, and is a well-deserved top player of the China women's squash team. Zhang Ning, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Squash Association, told reporters that Wu is the key training target of the China women's squash team. At the age of 25, she will reach the peak of her sports career in the next few years, expecting her to create better results in the international arena.

165438+1From October 29th to February 6th, Wu and his teammates flew to Egypt to participate in the squash world women's team championship held in Egypt. As a qualifier for the World Sports Congress, the goal of the China team is to reach the summit 12 and qualify for the World Sports Congress. Although China team failed to achieve this goal in the end, for Wu, she still has many important tasks to complete in the next time. The National Squash Championship and 2008 Ranking Tournament will be held in Nanjing, which is the first time that China has held a ranking tournament. In an interview, Wu admitted that the purpose of her participation in this competition was to prove her position as the first woman in China and win the championship. The following year, the 4th China Sports Conference will be held soon. As one of the two gold medal winners in Hubei Province, Wu became the focus of Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau. When asked about the expectation of this competition, Wu still expressed his domineering attitude: champion, of course, champion.
