Structural layout of Xuzhou Museum

Xuzhou Museum is centered on the main exhibition hall, with important cultural relics protection units such as Tushan Han Tomb, Quarry Site, Qianlong Palace and Monument Garden on the north, southwest and southeast respectively.

Exhibition main building

There are eight exhibition halls in the exhibition building, and the contents on display include "The Treasure of Gupeng-the Essence of Xuzhou Cultural Relics", "Colorful Dolls", "The Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy by Deng Yongqing" and "qing-style furniture".

On the first floor, the ancient weapons and cultural relics unearthed in Xuzhou are displayed by modern exhibition means, and the ancient battle pictures in Gupengdi are reproduced, which fully reflects the history of Xuzhou battlefield.

On the second floor, newly unearthed jade articles of Han Dynasty are displayed, which is unique in China.

Xuzhou Museum Souvenir Center is located on the west side of the main museum, with a business area of nearly 300 square meters, including business hall, bookstore and tea room. Beautiful environment and elegant style. Specializing in replicas and imitations of bronzes, pottery, jade and other cultural relics, calligraphy, paintings, rubbings and souvenirs with their own characteristics, and distributing various cultural relics, appreciation, archaeology, art, local literature and history books and picture books.

Tushan Han tomb

Tushan is located in the north of Xuzhou Museum. According to Topographic Records of Shu Wei, Notes on Shuijing and Local Records, Tushan is the tomb of Gao Zushou, Ya Fu and Fan Zeng. Legend has it that Fan Zeng helped Xiang Yu overthrow the Qin Dynasty and won the love of his foot soldiers. After his death, his soldiers built a tomb for him, so Tushan is the abbreviation of "turning soil into mountain". In fact, Tushan is the tomb of a certain generation of Pengcheng king in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

The tomb of King Pengcheng of the Eastern Han Dynasty in Tu Shan contains three large tombs. Han Tomb No.1 is located in the northwest of Tushan terroir. 1969 nearly 100 funerary objects were unearthed, including silver, copper, iron, pottery, lacquer, jade, stone beads, etc., including a relatively complete silver jade garment. Han Tomb No.2 is located in the middle of the enclosure. In 2004, with the approval of National Cultural Heritage Administration, Nanjing Museum and Xuzhou Museum will conduct formal archaeological excavations. Tomb No.3 is located in the northwest of Tushan. Excavated by Xuzhou Museum in 2002. Graves are dug in rocks and then made of huge stones and special big bricks. Tomb No.4 consists of a long ramp, a tunnel and a tomb. The tomb is about17m long and17m wide, and has a front chamber, left and right ear chambers and a back chamber. The tombs have been seriously excavated, and only a small amount of pottery and clay have been unearthed.

Xuzhou Yunlong Mountain Han Dynasty large quarry site is located at the northern foot of Yunlong Mountain in the south of the city. From May to September, 2004, it was excavated by the Archaeological Department of Xuzhou Museum. The site is 200 meters long from north to south and 0/50 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters. * * * 68 quarries were excavated and cleared, including 63 empty pits and 5 stone pits. There are also inscriptions 1, stone slag pits 1 and 2 tombs. Quarrying tools, such as wide chisel, flat chisel, chisel, wedge, cymbal, building materials and pottery, were also found in the site. The quarry site dates back to the Western Han Dynasty and may last until the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Yunlong Mountain Quarry in Han Dynasty is the only ancient quarry site before Han and Tang Dynasties in China.

Ganlong Palace and Memorial Garden

Qianlong Palace was the palace of Emperor Qianlong's southern tour in 1757, and the stele garden on the east side was a group of ancient garden-like buildings with small bridges and flowing water.
