There is a dynasty building in Zhuzi Lane called Hejiaci. This ancestral temple is one of the oldest existing royal or military commander temples in Nanjing. It was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty.
According to historical records, He family became one of the big families in Nanjing at that time during the Ming Dynasty, and once occupied a major position in Nanjing, with certain status and influence. During the Qing Dynasty, He family had a more prominent position, and served as a magistrate in Jiangning, Suzhou and other places.
Therefore, it can be said that Hejia does exist in Nanjing Bamboo Lane, and Hejia ancestral hall is one of the locations of Hejia.
