What conditions do psychological counselors need to have before they can apply?

Psychological counselor application conditions:

The new standard stipulates that the post grades of psychological counselors are: intermediate psychological counselors and senior psychological counselors.

The latest standard conditions for psychological counselors to apply:

(a) meet one of the following conditions, you can apply to take the intermediate psychological counselor exam:

1, with college degree or above in this major or related major;

2. Obtain a college diploma or above in a non-major or related major, and obtain a training certificate after the intermediate formal training of psychological counselors reaches the required standard hours;

3. After obtaining the graduation certificate of this major or related major in secondary vocational school, he has been engaged in this major for more than 10 years;

4. Students with college education or above are allowed to participate in the intermediate post skill appraisal in the second half of the third semester. Please refer to the professional comparison table (Annex 6)-education, medicine, psychology and prison science. Students of other non-related majors need to attend training for a certain period of time before they can apply for the exam.

(two) meet one of the following conditions, you can apply for the senior psychological counselor exam:

1, with a doctoral diploma in this major or related majors;

2. Having worked in this major for more than 3 years after obtaining a master's degree diploma in this major or related major;

3. Obtain a college degree or above in this major or related major, and have worked in this major for more than 8 years;

4. Having been engaged in this occupation for 5 years after obtaining the intermediate occupation qualification certificate of this occupation;

5. Those with intermediate or above titles in psychology.

Psychological counselor test scores:

National vocational qualification appraisal is divided into three grades. As a profession with high knowledge content, psychological counselors begin to identify directly from the third level. * * * There are three levels of psychological counselors (national vocational qualification level III), psychological counselors (national vocational qualification level II) and senior psychological counselors (national vocational qualification level I, opened in 2008).

Starting from 2006, the qualification examination will adopt the new national professional standard for psychological counselors promulgated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

According to the new standard, the profession of psychological counselors is divided into three grades, namely, psychological counselors level 3, psychological counselors level 2, and psychological counselors level 1 (undisclosed). Cancel the original titles of psychological counselors (national vocational qualification level 3) and senior psychological counselors (national vocational qualification level 1, closed).
