Apricots will bear fruit for several years.

Apricot trees generally bear fruit in 2 ~ 3 years after planting, and enter the full fruit period in 6 ~ 7 years, and the economic life can reach 40 ~ 50 years or even longer.

Apricot is an excellent sunny tree species in China and the main cultivated fruit tree in low mountain and hilly areas. Sowing should be done in spring. Apricots can be soaked in clear water for 20-30 minutes, and then planted on the sorted land. Sowed seeds are required to cover 5- 10 cm of soil to keep the soil moist.

Under unfavorable ecological conditions and low management level, apricot trees began to age in about 40 years. There are more than 200 cultivated varieties in North China and Northwest China. According to the color of peel and pulp, it can be divided into three categories:

1, yellow and white varieties, such as Beijing Crystal Apricot and Hebei Daxiangbai Apricot.

2. Yellow skin, such as Gansu Jinma apricot, Shandong Licheng Dayu apricot, Qingdao Shaoshan red apricot, etc.

3. Varieties with redder skins, such as Guanlaoyemian in Hebei, Yongji Hongmei in Shanxi, and Shajinxing in Qingxu.
