Gansu Iron and Steel Vocational and Technical College is located in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province, a steel city in the west of China. Founded by jiuquan iron and steel (Group) Co., Ltd., it is the only higher vocational college in Gansu Province. Its predecessor was Jiugang Amateur Staff University, which was founded in 1978. Approved by Gansu Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education filed 1982. In 2006, it was appraised by the Gansu Provincial College Establishment Committee, approved by the Gansu Provincial People's Government, approved by the Gansu Provincial People's Government (Han [2006] No.30) and filed by the Ministry of Education (Notice of the Ministry of Education on Publishing and Filing the List of Higher Vocational Schools), and transformed into an ordinary higher vocational college.
Jiugang Company is the largest steel production base in northwest China. With the diversified development of the company, its industrial categories involve iron and steel smelting, power electronics, energy and chemical industry, mechanical processing, logistics tourism, planting, food processing and other industrial fields. Its good industrial base, strong scientific and technological innovation ability and broad development space provide students with a good school environment and an ideal educational resource that combines Industry-University-Research, and create a unique professional practice platform and employment space for students. Lan Xin Campus is located in the center of Jiayuguan, East Lake Campus is adjacent to Jiajiu Intercity Expressway in the east, Jiayuguan 4A East Lake Eco-tourism Scenic Area-National Triathlon Training Base and Special Stadium in the west, Jiayuguan Shinan District and Fangte Happy World in the south, and Jiayuguan International Airport in the north. It has a superior geographical position, beautiful environment, beautiful scenery and convenient transportation.
At present, there are 43 experimental training rooms, multimedia and voice classrooms 1 18, 990 computers for teaching, nearly 50,000 simulation devices and experimental instruments for steelmaking, ironmaking, alumina and electrolytic aluminum, total assets of teaching and research equipment and instruments of more than 20 million yuan, more than 300,000 paper books, 750GB e-books and 650 off-campus training bases.
The college has teaching and training institutions such as metallurgical engineering department, electrical engineering department, department of mechanical engineering, welding engineering department, economic management department, training center and training assessment center. At present, there are 3 19 teaching staff, nearly 200 full-time teachers, 75 teachers with associate senior titles or above, 28 teachers with master's degree or above, 9 senior technicians and more than 200 part-time teachers.
