The Institute of Intelligent Engineering offers eight undergraduate majors, including mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, electrical engineering and automation, electronic information engineering, industrial design, mechanical and electronic engineering, automation, communication engineering and robot engineering. Among them, mechanical design, manufacturing and automation are the dominant majors in Shanxi Province, and have passed the certification of the German Institute for Engineering Education Certification (ASIIN). At present, 38 laboratories, including robotics, 3D printing, process control, modern communication and CNC machining, have been built, with a use area of more than 5,700 square meters and equipment assets of more than 76 million yuan. Teams and individuals of college students such as "robot", "electronic design", "industrial design", "information technology innovation and practice" and "graphics and computer design" have won national or provincial college students' science and technology competitions for years.
