Luo Mingbang fought bloody battles in the battle and had a narrow escape. He led the soldiers to rescue the head of the Red Fourth Army headquarters. He was injured in the battle and was mistaken by his comrades for sacrifice. He also crossed the grassland and climbed the snow mountain three times. On the way to Yan 'an, he was arrested three times by the Kuomintang and finally escaped.
