General situation of Baoshan tourism in Yunnan

Baoshan, located in the west of Yunnan, is located at the end of the longitudinal valley in the west of Hengduan Mountains, and Gaoligong Mountain and Nvshan Mountain extend southward. Lancang River and Nujiang River are separated from each other, with diverse topography, mild climate, fertile land and rich products.

Baoshan has a mild climate, with an average annual temperature of 15-2 1, which is suitable for developing industries such as grain, tobacco, sugar, tea, forest and livestock. The territory is rich in high-value cash crops such as flue-cured tobacco, sucrose, tea, oriental tobacco, coffee, mango, pepper, banana, litchi and longan, with excellent quality and outstanding reputation.

Baoshan has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of ancient humans. The remains of stone tools, ash stoves and animal fossils found in Tangzigou, Pupiao Township, Baoshan City were identified by China Academy of Sciences, among which they were named "Pupiao Man", belonging to four generations of ancient human remains such as skulls, jaws and seven teeth, dating back more than 8,000 years. The human remains and relics found in Yuanmou, Yunnan, Lantian, Shaanxi, Zhoukoudian, Beijing and Pupiao, Yunnan are gradually opening the curtain of ancient human history in China.

Baoshan, formerly known as Yongchang, was developed very early. Baoshan is an important post station of the "Southern Silk Road" at home and abroad. Around the 4th century BC, the "Southern Silk Road" gradually formed a major transportation route from Chengdu, Sichuan to Myanmar, India, Nepal, Afghanistan and other countries via Baoshan. Some experts believe that this is the earliest external land transportation line in China, and the shortest transportation line between southwest China and Western Europe, Africa and South Asia.

Baoshan also has 280,000 overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and their families. Overseas Chinese are distributed in 22 countries and are the hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan.

Baoshan is rich in tourism resources. The unique geological structure of Hengduan Mountains has formed a rare geothermal group and volcanic landform in the world. There are more than 180 hot springs in the hot spring group centered in Tengchong tropical area, which not only has the value of thermal energy development, but also has unique bathing effect, especially in Tengchong Rehai and Longling Bangla Palm. Tengchong volcano is the youngest Cenozoic extinct volcano group in the world, with more than 60 craters. The magical Gaoligong Mountain is a nature reserve, with more than 1.500 species of higher plants and 1.40 species of wild animals, among which 26 rare trees and 30 rare animals are protected by the state, including the world-famous original species of rhododendron, living fossil tree fern and Yunnan camellia. Gaoligongshan quilt is praised by experts and scientists at home and abroad as "species gene bank", "natural museum" and "corridor where plants and animals meet in the north and south", which has high tourism and scientific investigation value. The world-famous anti-Japanese war in western Yunnan and the hardworking and brave spirit of Baoshan people made Baoshan and Baoshan people popular all over the world. The ruins during the Anti-Japanese War are ideal places for revolutionary traditional education and tourism.
