The museum has more than 4,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, mainly including stone tools, bone implements, bronzes, jade articles, pottery, porcelain, ironware, tiles, ancient coins, inscriptions, calligraphy and painting, etc. The collection of cultural relics ranges from simple stone tools and pottery used by humans in the Neolithic Age 5,000 years ago to the Japanese "March 8th rifle bayonet" used in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, so there is no shortage of items. Especially in 2005 and 2006, important bronze artifacts such as "the first sword in Fujian", "the first dish in Fujian" and "the first statue in Fujian" were unearthed from the Shang Dynasty kiln group in Maoernongshan, Xiayang Village, Xianyang Town and the mound tomb group in Guanjiu Village, Xianyang Town.
