According to China's Regulations on Qualification Management of Construction Enterprises, the qualifications of construction enterprises are divided into the following major sequences:
1. Comprehensive qualification: It is suitable for enterprises with strong comprehensive strength that can undertake the design and construction tasks of various construction projects.
2. Construction general contracting qualification: including 12 categories, such as housing construction engineering, highway engineering, railway engineering, port and waterway engineering, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, etc. Each category is divided into different grades according to the special grade, the first grade, the second grade and the third grade, corresponding to the project contracting authority of different scale and complexity.
3. Professional contracting qualification: involving 36 categories, covering specific professional sub-projects in construction projects, and also classified according to the first, second and third levels.
4. Construction service qualification: Different from the above order, the construction service qualification is not divided into categories and grades.
The role of construction company qualification;
1, legal operation qualification: having corresponding construction qualification is a prerequisite for enterprises to undertake construction projects legally. Construction enterprises that have not obtained the corresponding qualifications shall not engage in construction activities within the scope permitted by their qualification grades.
2. Qualification to participate in bidding: In the field of construction engineering, most engineering projects will explicitly require bidders to have corresponding qualification levels when bidding, which is the "admission ticket" to enter the market to participate in project bidding.
3. Prove the strength of the enterprise: A series of conditions need to be met to obtain and upgrade the qualification, including the economic strength, technical strength, construction equipment and engineering performance of the enterprise. Therefore, the qualification level represents the comprehensive strength and technical management level of the enterprise to a great extent.

Guarantee the quality and safety of the project: through strict qualification examination and management, ensure that the construction enterprises have the technical ability and quality assurance system to undertake various projects, thus reducing the risk of quality and safety accidents in the process of project implementation.
