Zhou Yanhong Building is located in Xia Nan Street, Cangbu. In the 20th year of the Republic of China (A.D. 193 1), it was built by Zhou Yanhong, executive member of the Kuomintang Central Committee and commander-in-chief of the 26th Army, at a cost of 100,000 yuan. This mansion faces Shi Jing from west to east, with its back on the Five Lakes. Towers and terraces, pavilions, pools and balconies appear alternately, surrounded by ancient trees. The total construction area is about 1 170 square meters, which has both the traditional national style of China and the characteristics of western architecture. There are two buildings above the main building with a depth of 36.8 meters and an area of 575 square meters. The gatehouse is engraved with the words "Yanhui", which was inscribed by the secretary of the chairman (razed to the ground during the Cultural Revolution). Built-in wooden building, collusion before and after, ribbed partition in the building, outstanding in seven days; Hollow figures, birds and animals are lifelike; Western-style gate with a semicircular top; Cement doorposts decorated with embossed flowers; Terrazzo floor with five-color patterns on red background. The wings are paved with boards. The basement was built in the right room. Outside the building, there are double eaves and horns flying. There are wishful arches carved on the eaves, and stories are decorated under the eaves. Behind the main building is the archway, concierge and guard room; There are gardens, rockeries and hexagonal pavilions on the left; There are Jacky Middle School and Jacky Primary School in the southeast. In the garden, there are flowers in spring, shade in summer, fruit in autumn and green in winter. It is pleasing to the eye and beautiful. After liberation, Zhou Yanhong Building was used in Xinzhou No.2 Middle School. Jacky Middle School and Jacky Primary School have also been transformed into the campuses of Xinzhou Normal School and its affiliated primary schools. 1984 and 1988, Zhou Yanhong building was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit by Xinzhou county and Wuhan municipal people's government for domestic and foreign tourists to visit.
